Dear users we are excited to announce that this – Sunday 29 November, we will be launching version 3.0 of our PHPanywhere service, which will have some long time awaited features.
Also during this time we will be migrating PHPanywhere to new servers so we can handle the ever rising traffic.

Yup thats right you can now download your files from you’re FTP server to your PC.
Of course this is still in Labs, but it is the last new feature before we transfer everything to our production site www.phpanywhere.net

Dear all,
Labs now officially supports Internet Explorer versions 7 and 8!
So all you IE users out there can finally enjoy PHPanywhere.
*note - it works in IE 6 as well but it’s not officially supported and user experience may not be pleasant.
It’s finally here, you guys have been asking and we have been working.
So check out the “Code Color Scheme” under Settings (in Labs) and pick the code highlighting scheme that suits you best!
So enjoy and keep posting things you want so we can make it happen!!

I’m ecstatic to say that we have finally posted a new version of PHPanywhere on LABS !!!
Here are in short a list of new features:
- All new code editor
- undo/redo is now handled on client (browser) side, no more waiting for server response
- find and replace feature
- line numbers are now displayed
- php, html, [...]
We added a new really useful option (well at least we hope it is) – FTP File Perissions!
We have tested it quite a bit, but since this is a very sensitive issue/option we only integrated it into labs.phpanywhere.net. So we kindly ask you to try it out a bit and let us know what you [...]

And were starting ‘09 with something new; namly we put up a TEST site, located @ labs.phpanywhere.net.

We have now added the possibility to create directories over FTP.

A few users have complained that there is no “Open File” icon. The file management menu is still under development. It will soon allow you to create, rename, delete files and folders.
Until then you can open files by double click on them in ftp explorer.
Ftp explorer has been improved a bit. Now the toolbar stays on top when you scroll the ftp tree. There is also a refresh icon so you can refresh a folder if you add a new file or if it miss loads.
