Also during this time we will be migrating PHPanywhere to new servers so we can handle the ever rising traffic.

So you can expect some difficulties on Sunday, but once it’s done – get ready for some serious coding, on the go of course. ;)

Dear users,

I’m ecstatic to say that we have finally posted a new version of PHPanywhere on LABS !!!

Here are in short a list of new features:
- All new code editor
- undo/redo is now handled on client (browser) side, no more waiting for server response
- find and replace feature
- line numbers are now displayed
- php, html, css code highlighting
- code auto completion, snippets
- code indention  (TAB key finally works :) )
- projects
- skins
- and more…


Note this is a test version, so please don’t use it on your important files (for now anyway).
Also we would love your feedback (on the forum or by email) to help us wipe out any bugs that we might have left…so we can get this up on the production version of PHPanywhere asap!

We have tested it quite a bit, but since this is a very sensitive issue/option we only integrated it into labs.phpanywhere.net. So we kindly ask you to try it out a bit and let us know what you think.

Once you give us the green light we’ll integrate it into our production service phpanywhere.net.

And were starting ‘09 with something new; namly we put up a TEST site, located @ labs.phpanywhere.net.

Here you’ll see the next version of our service while its beening made. :)

You can expect a lot of things not to work (well it is a test site), but you’ll get to see alot of new things that are on there way and even influence the course of our development.

One warning though; because it is a test site we can not garuntee that it will work properly, so dont use it with important ftp servers and files. So use it carefully and at your onw risk.

The file management menu is still under development. It will soon allow you to create, rename, delete files and folders.
Until then you can open files by double click on them in ftp explorer.

Now the toolbar stays on top when you scroll the ftp tree. There is also a refresh icon so you can refresh a folder if you add a new file or if it miss loads.
