Here we are after a lot of updates and a ton of bug fixes we are confident that PHPanywhere is ready for the big time, so we are finally getting ready to remove the BETA label. :)
The first official release of PHPanywhere should be online in February, but not to worry – for all of you that always want the absolute newest version of PHPanywhere you’ll always be able to find it on LABS. :)

As promised the new version of PHPanywhere was released on or LIVE site 18.12.2009.
But due to some tiny bugs and the implementation of SSL we hadn’t announced it until now.
So now that everything is on the up and up, and we added SSL for login and sign-up (which will make PHPanywhere even more secure) we are now very proud to present PHPanywhere version 3!

So much so in fact that TechCrunch Europe’s Ivan Brezak Brkan wrote an article about PHPanywhere last week stating among other things “PHPanywhere is a new Croatian startup providing a web based IDE (integrated development environment), or in other words – a web based code editor. This way, you can work on your code from anywhere on any computer. With over 3000 active users in a few months and a modest launch, the developers are keen on the web apps’ future.”

As of today PHPanywhere has implemented SSL, now whenever you Signup, Logon or try to retrieve a forgotten password it will all be under SSL encryption. :)

Also I would like to take this opportunity to announce a PRO plan coming soon which will put the entire application under SSL, remove advertisements, and also add a few more goodies.
